Nothin' Is Forever Lyrics

Steppenwolf

Words and music by John Kay, Michael Palmer, Michael Wilk

You're the one I've been waiting for
You're the one I loved long before
I saw you passin' by, saw in your eye
All the passion that we shared last night

They say that nothing is forever
But you can't tell me that's true
For after all our time together
I'm still in love with only you

You and I girl, we're such a pair
You're the one I need right beside me
Leave the world outside, tell the world good night
We're together what will be will be

You and I, we got lots of fun
You're the one I want hold on for
The best is yet to come, the rest don't matter none
We're together makin' love tonight

They say that nothing is forever
But you can't tell me that's true
For after all our time together
I'm still in love with only you
